Three Held at Shaltang with Brown Sugar, Codeine Bottles
Srinagar, Apr 25: Police on Satuday said they have apprehended three persons at Shaltang Chowk after they tried to flee during routine patrolling.
The trio was travelling on a scooty bearing registration number JK15/6315 from Sumbal towards Parimpora when they were intercepted by the police party.
During search, police recovered a brown sugar-like substance and Rs 10,590 cash from one accused, while two bottles of codeine syrup were recovered from the other two individuals.
The arrested persons were identified as Ghulam Mohd Wani of Waganipora Sumbal, Aqib Ahmad Dar of Maloora and Younus Ahmad Bhat of Parimpora Bund.
Police have registered the case and started further investigation.
