BARAMULLA POLICE APPREHENDS DRUG PEDDLER; PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES RECOVERED, VEHICLE SEIZED

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police apprehended a drug peddler during naka checking at Nawan Mode Kreeri.
The accused has been identified as Faizan Mohiudin Wani S/O Gh Mohiudin Wani R/O Pethgam Wagoora. During checking, he was found in possession of psychotropic substances in the form of tablets. The recovered contraband includes:
Clonazepam – 02 strips
Zolpidem Tartrate – 01 strip
Amnurite-P – 01 strip
D Veniz 100 – 01 strip
Ventab XL 150 – 01 strip
Tapentadol HCL – 03 strips
Total: 87 tablets
A vehicle (Sierra) bearing registration number JK05Q-1100, used for transportation of the contraband, has also been seized.
In this regard, an FIR 40/2026
U/S 8/22 NDPS has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been taken up.
