3 Dumpers, 2 JCB Machines seized over illegal mining in Pulwama

Pulwama, April 19: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Pulwama Police today carried out a targeted operation in the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter and took strict action against violators involved in unlawful extraction activities.

A police party from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at Rambi Aada, where illegal extraction of minerals was found in progress. Acting swiftly, the team seized 03 dumpers and 02 JCB machines involved in the illegal activity. The details of seized vehicles are as under: 03 dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK13 H 0172, JK19 7479 and JK19 6527 along with 02 JCB machines bearing chassis Nos. DB1B55ZGPP0012904 and HAR3DXX5T03594721 were seized during the operation.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 45/2026 under sections 303(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and 03 PPD Act has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been taken up.
